The cottage rests on about an acre
of land. The back yard is cut in half by a babbling brook,
but once you cross over the small wooden bridge you’ll find
a peninsula with a tranquil sitting area. With a secluded
yard you will be able to enjoy the privacy you’re searching
for when visiting the mountains.
Inside the cottage you will find a large kitchen and living
room. The living room has a cast iron wood burning stove,
full sleeper sofa, large napping sofa and leather lazy boy
recliner. We do have a TV and VCR. There are two bedrooms
and one bathroom. The master has a queen size bed and the
small bedroom has a full bed. There is also a sunroom with
a foosball table, card or breakfast table and a futon. Total
you can sleep 8.
We have decorated to make it comfortable
with a cottage feel. We also have a front porch with views
of the mountains and river depending on the time of year.
The Hideaway is not available to undergrad students and is
kept very clean. Whether you are looking for a secluded weekend
with your significant other or a weekend full of memories
with your close friends, the Hokie Hideaway is the retreat
for you.
